Float provides cash-flow forecasting for small businesses. This notice explains what personal data we process and your rights under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

Who we are

Float is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at privacy@float.app for any privacy request.

What we collect

Account data (name, email, business details); financial data you connect or enter (bank transactions, invoices, scheduled outflows); usage and device data; and identity-verification data where required for onboarding checks.

How we use it

To operate the forecast engine and dashboards, run alerts you enable, verify identity, take payment, provide support, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your data. AI features process only the figures needed to answer your request and never train third-party models on your data.

Legal bases

Performance of our contract with you, your consent (for optional features and bank connections), legitimate interests (product security and improvement), and legal obligation.

Sharing

With processors acting on our instructions: our hosting and database provider, payment processor (Stripe), open-banking aggregator, identity-verification provider, and email/SMS providers. Each is bound by contract to protect your data.

Retention & residency

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as required by law, then delete or anonymise it. United Arab Emirates-edition data is processed in-region.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing. Use Settings β†’ Danger Zone to export or delete, or email privacy@float.app. You may lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.
